The key requirement for modern district solutions is to provide heating and cooling on-demand, as well as a decentralized supply of electricity. Our anergy networks (cold district heating networks) are based on regenerative energies such as geothermal energy, solar thermal energy, or residual and industrial waste heat. They make use of simple physical phenomena: Low transmission temperatures operate in a range of about 8° to 25°C, allowing different consumers to heat and cool independently at the same time.

 

In the hydraulically balanced networks, the variety of decentralized energy sources ensures a highly efficient consumption cascade. Short-term and long-term heat storage systems ensure a balance between consumption and production profiles. On the consumer side, low heating flow temperatures of the corresponding modern surface heating systems increase the system efficiency of the heat pump system. The decentrally generated electricity is largely used on-site (tenant electricity, charging stations for e-cars) and thus does not burden the transmission networks.
